EFCC Blows Cover On Alleged Yahoo Academy In Benin, Arrests 25


 Items recovered from the suspects include six exotic cars, laptops and phones.


The Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 25 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud. The arrests took place at an alleged cybercrime training center in Benin City, Edo State.

According to a statement released by the EFCC on Friday, the suspects were detained on Thursday following credible intelligence reports. These reports suggested that the location was being used as a "Yahoo academy" or training school for cyber fraud and other illicit activities.

The EFCC's swift action demonstrates their ongoing commitment to combating cybercrime and protecting the public from fraudulent schemes.
