The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released the official fare for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, with variations based on geographical zones. According to the commission, intending pilgrims from the Southern states will pay N8.78 million, while those from Borno and Adamawa zones will be charged N8.33 million. Meanwhile, pilgrims from the Northern zone are expected to pay N8.46 million for the religious journey to Saudi Arabia.
The announcement was made by NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, through a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by Fatima Usara, the commission’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication.
Prof. Usman explained that the pricing was determined after thorough discussions with key stakeholders, including the Presidency and State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards. The goal, he noted, was to arrive at a fair and reasonable cost that reflects current economic realities while ensuring accessibility for all intending pilgrims.
The statement emphasized that the commission had engaged in extensive consultations to make the process inclusive and transparent.
Advisory for Pilgrims
Prospective pilgrims were urged to adhere strictly to Saudi regulations, register early, and complete their payments on time to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
For a detailed breakdown of the fare and further guidance, NAHCON encouraged pilgrims to visit its official website or consult their state pilgrims’ welfare boards.
Prof. Usman also expressed appreciation to the Presidency and all stakeholders for their cooperation and support, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to providing a seamless and well-organized Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
