TikTok ban won’t affect me – Cardi B

Cardi B Dismisses Concerns Over U.S. TikTok Ban, Says It Won’t Affect Her

American rapper Cardi B has made it clear that the recent TikTok ban in the United States will have no impact on her career.

According to DAILY POST, the popular social media platform ceased operations in the U.S. on January 19 after its Chinese parent company failed to comply with a law signed by President Joe Biden in April 2024, which required them to sell the platform.

In response to the ban, a social media user with the handle @1lex suggested that artists who rely on TikTok for music promotion, including Cardi B, would need to seek alternative employment.

The user tweeted:

“Now, all the female TikTok rappers gotta find real jobs. You first, @imcardib.”

Unfazed by the remark, Cardi B clapped back, revealing her lucrative opportunities outside of social media. She responded:

“Babe, I’m getting a $7 million offer to launch my own vitamins. I could retire you from your burger-flipping job by tomorrow. But thank me—I’ve been helping you afford your $8.99 Twitter check.”

The rapper’s response quickly went viral, reaffirming her financial stability and dismissing claims that the TikTok ban would negatively impact her career.
