Retired AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s Wife Abducted in Ogun State
The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has been kidnapped from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Friday, revealing that the abduction took place late Thursday night.
Reports indicate that four masked assailants ambushed the victim as she was about to enter her home. They forcibly removed her from her Lexus Jeep and whisked her away to an undisclosed location.
Police Launch Search Operation
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, stated:
“Information was received regarding the abduction of Mrs. Odumosu, a resident of Aminu Street, Arepo. She was reportedly attacked by four masked individuals who dragged her from her vehicle and took her through a swampy area to an unknown destination.”
She added that the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area had mobilized a team of officers to the scene and initiated a search operation within the surrounding bushland.
Authorities Intensify Rescue Efforts
According to Odutola, the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has been briefed on the situation, and advanced intelligence and covert operations have been deployed to ensure the victim’s safe rescue.
Additionally, local community leaders from Warewa and Maaba have been engaged to mobilize security groups to assist law enforcement in the search and rescue efforts.
